About Us
Limudei Lottie was established in October 2007, in response to a previously unrecognized need in the nine year old community of Ramat Beit Shemesh. As the community matured, women began seeking more than just a good class. They wanted a place where they could grow intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. They wanted a program that addressed their needs in a holistic way– by offering classes that offer a high level of Torah learning, facilitate friendship and peer interaction, and allow for the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with the course instructor. They wanted a place that reflected the complexity of their lives as mothers and provided on-site child care and convenient scheduling .
Thus, “Limudei Lottie,” inspired by Grandma Lottie Rosenson, A”H, was established by Chana Ginsburg, to fulfill these needs. We offer small classes on varying skill levels and topics of interest. There is a community Rebbitzen on staff, available for private appointments. To date approximately three hundred and fifty women have attended our courses and mini courses.
The program has also become a haven for new “olim,” by helping them continue to be able to learn in a language they are familiar with, and meet many veteran “olim,” who can be helpful in their adjustment to Israel
